Granite
Granite is a hard, igneous rock formed from the slow crystallization of magma beneath the Earth’s surface. It is composed primarily of quartz, feldspar, and mica, which give it a speckled, grainy texture. Known for its durability and strength, granite is one of the most popular materials used in construction, particularly for countertops, flooring, monuments, and buildings. It is highly resistant to scratches, heat, and staining, making it a practical choice for high-traffic areas and surfaces exposed to heavy use. Granite comes in a variety of colors, including shades of gray, black, white, pink, and red, depending on its mineral composition. Due to its striking appearance and natural beauty, it is widely used in both modern and traditional architecture. Although granite is tough and long-lasting, it does require periodic sealing to prevent moisture from seeping into its pores, ensuring its longevity and maintaining its aesthetic appeal.
